Blitzpanel | Austin, TX (On-Site) | $90K–$110K
Blitzpanel is automating the complete engineer-to-build pipeline for UL508A control panels, from schematics to wire routing. Still early days, but we're shipping to everyone from solar farms to robotics startups to Tesla.
We're hiring a entry-level panel designer. You'll be learning the craft while doing real work, not running coffee or sitting in training modules.
What You'll Do
- Support electrical design of industrial control panels: schematics, layouts, BOMs
- Learn EPLAN under direct mentorship — this is our primary design tool
- Translate customer specs into design packages with guidance
- Review incoming customer requirements and help estimate scope
- Build toward owning a full design from intake to sign-off
What We Need
- Some exposure to electrical design or mechanical CAD: coursework, internship, a personal project, or time in a shop. We care that you've touched the work, not how long ago.
- Basic familiarity with control circuit fundamentals: power distribution distribution, low-voltage control wiring, component sizing
- Willingness to learn EPLAN. Prior experience is a plus, not a requirement.
- You read a spec and ask good questions instead of waiting for someone to explain it to you
Nice to Have
- Any hands-on time in a panel shop, systems integrator, or industrial environment
- Exposure to Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar industrial component lines
- Awareness of UL508A requirements (you don't need to know it cold)
